Streamline Your Pledge

Authorization Form

Pledging takes some time and thought. When I make a pledge I really think about what the church means to me and what statement I want to make about the importance of God among my priorities. Jesus was clear in his understanding that our finances reflect our values. So when I make my pledge I try to think about making it enough of a commitment to mean something. I also want this commitment to be enough of my budget that I feel good about it.

But I am a firm believer in making the logistics of life as streamlined as I can. Life just seems busy enough that I don't need to worry about details which I can take care of. When I started using online banking I discovered how convenient it is. Then when the church offered electronic giving, I realized that it is a relief to set things up so that my pledge is paid automatically. I urge you to consider it. I never worry about whether the church has my pledge, or whether I have fallen behind. I never worry about forgetting to bring it. We all have too much on our lists each week. This detail is not something I wanted to think about on Sundays. Maybe it is something for you to consider.

Here is a message from the Finance Committee:

Streamline your contribution to the church. Pay your pledge electronically each month or quarter. You can have your bank send in your gift. You can even use a credit card and earn miles while you contribute to the church. When you give electronically you don’t have to remember any envelopes. You don’t have to bring a pen or checkbook to worship. You don’t have to worry about your pledge when you teach Church School. You can come to church, knowing your contribution is taken care of. Use this Authorization Form or for more information call or e-mail Christine in the church office, 781-444-2510 or office@needhamucc.org.  Pledges for 2010 are being accepted now.  Pledge confidentially via e-mail to pledge10@needhamucc.org.
