What happens on Sunday mornings?

** Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers: Childcare and programming is provided for younger children on the church’s lower level for the entire worship hour starting at 10am. Preschoolers enjoy a curriculum just for this age group.

**Children in grades K-5: join their families in the worship service for the first 20 minutes and then attend Bible Village, an interactive Sunday School experience, for the rest of the hour. See below for more information on Bible Village. On the first Sunday of the month (Communion Sunday), the schedule changes just a bit so kids can join their families for communion. Kids start in Bible Village (chapel and then workshops) and then are dismissed for the sanctuary.

**Youth in grades 6-8 attend Junior High Sunday School in the Youth Lounge in Stevenson Hall from 10am-11:15am. The church also has two active youth groups — Junior High for grades 6-8 and High School for grades 9-12.  Click here for more info on youth groups.

**Youth in grades 9-12 choose from the following options: Volunteer in nursery, preschool, or Bible Village, join your families for worship in the sanctuary, or sign up to be an usher or worship assistant.

What is Bible Village?

Bible Village, a brand new Sunday School experience….
Kids love Bible Village!  Each week, kids learn about a Bible Story through upbeat activities and songs with Youth Minister Jamie Green Klopotoski in the chapel. Children are then led to workshop rooms based on their age groups to enhance the lesson.  Activity stations include:

*  cooking in the Bread of Life Cafe                 *  Science experiments in the Discovery Den

*  storytelling at Camp Galilee                         *  Games in the ARKcade

*  art at the Pottery Barn                                  *  Theater in the Holy Word Studios

What do other parents say about Bible Village?

Feedback from parents has been gratifying.  Here’s what some have said:

“My son was so excited by the lesson that he got out his children’s Bible when he got home and started to do more drawings out of the Bible.”

“I can’t believe you got my child to taste a fig!”

“My daughter actually wants to come to church now!”

One child exclaimed during the cooking workshop, “This is the best day of my life!”

Do I have to volunteer?

All families at the Congregational Church of Needham are encouraged to sign up for ANY 4 spots from September through December. We need EVERYONE to help in order to continue offering our programs! There are 207 spots available, so if each of our 60+ families signed up for 4 spots, we’d be MORE than covered! Sign up here: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/10C0844A8AA23A2FD0-20152016
